So, you tell me
Is it a blessing or is it a curse
Should the tide be left on its own accord
Or should it be overflowed by this verse

Impulses running wild
In my brain
Pushing synapses to their final rattle
Up to the tiniest strain

In an overwhelming tremble and shiver
Beyond reasonable control
Is there an escape, a haven so safe
That puts to rest one’s suffering soul

All the thoughts felt
Every single jerk of a muscle
Unable to move
In an unwanted hassle

Like with the poles
Or the west and the east
The transmitter and the receiver
In a never ending battle of the good and the beast

If I was to command the mind
Would I be wise
If I was to command the heart
What would be the prize

So, you tell me
Is it a blessing or is it a curse
Should the tide be left on its own accord
Or should it be overflowed by this verse
